Papers Format<\/div>\n

Manuscripts must follow the mandatory LaTeX template provided by the ACMSE 2026 conference. It is a slightly modified version of the ACM Master Article Template (sigconf). You can download it from here<\/a>. The starting point is the file \u201csample-sigconf.tex\u201d. ACMSE 2026 will NOT support the Microsoft Word format (no exceptions).

Tips for Manuscripts<\/div>\n

Please, read the following tips before you submit a manuscript for evaluation at ACMSE 2026. Be sure that your manuscript follows all these tips. If you used the recommended LaTeX template, most of them should already be fulfilled.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Since the peer-review process will be \u201cdouble-blind\u201d, be sure to remove the author(s) names and affiliations from your manuscript. In the LaTeX template, you just have to add the parameter \u201canonymous\u201d to the \u201cdocumentclass\u201d command.<\/li>\n
  2. Check that your article uses the correct paper size (letter), i.e. 8.5\u2033 x 11\u2033.<\/li>\n
  3. The \u201cAbstract\u201d section shall consist of one or a few paragraphs. In this section, you cannot have formulas, figures, tables, bullet lists, enumerated lists, or citations.<\/li>\n
  4. Between the \u201cAbstract\u201d and the \u201cKeywords\u201d sections, do not forget the \u201cCCS Concepts\u201d. More information can be found here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. In the \u201cKeywords\u201d section, the keywords must be separated by commas.<\/li>\n
  6. The \u201cACM Reference Format\u201d section will be automatically generated for you by the LaTeX template, with the correct information about the conference. If your article is accepted, you will get your DOI number from the online ACM copyright system. For the evaluation process, keep the DOI number as it is.<\/li>\n
  7. In the title of your article, the initial letter of each important word must be capitalized (e.g., Performance Evaluation of a New Protocol).<\/li>\n
  8. In the title of sections (1, 2, 3, etc.), the initial letter of each important word must be capitalized (e.g., Performance Evaluation of a New Protocol).<\/li>\n
  9. In the title of subsections (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.), the initial letter of each important word must be capitalized (e.g., Performance Evaluation of a New Protocol).<\/li>\n
  10. A figure caption must be placed immediately after the corresponding figure. Be sure that the whole caption is in bold. Use Arabic numbers (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.) for identifying your figures.<\/li>\n
  11. You must cite all your figures in the article. When you cite a figure, put the F of Figure in capital letter. Also, do not use abbreviations such as \u201cFig<\/span>.\u201d, that is, spell out the word \u201cFigure<\/span>\u201d.<\/li>\n
  12. In the caption of figures, the initial letter of each important word must be capitalized (e.g., Figure 1: Performance Evaluation of a New Protocol).<\/li>\n
  13. In the caption of figures, be sure to separate the figure number from the title with a colon (\u201c:\u201d), that is, do not use a period, or a dash, or any other character. Do not put a space before the colon.<\/li>\n
  14. Do not explain the content of a figure in the title of this figure. The title of a figure shall be short. Put the explanation of what is in the figure in your main text, where you cite the figure.<\/li>\n

  22. If you have acknowledgments, they shall go in the \u201cAcknowledgments\u201d section at the end of your manuscript. It is not a numbered section. So, no number should appear before the word \u201cAcknowledgments\u201d. Just use the appropriate LaTeX environment (\\begin{acks}<\/code> … \\end{acks}<\/code>)<\/li>\n
  23. The \u201cReferences\u201d section is not a numbered section. So, no number should appear before the word \u201cReferences\u201d.<\/li>\n
  24. In the references, for each author, put the first name followed by the last name. For example:\u00a0 Donald Knuth, Bill Gates, and Edgar Truman<\/span>. Be aware that \u201cD. Knuth, B. Gates, and E. Truman<\/span>\u201d is not correct because you only used the initial letter for the first name. Also, \u201cKnuth, D., Gates, B., and Truman, E.<\/span>\u201d is not acceptable.<\/li>\n
  25. In the BibTeX file, separate the authors by \u201cand<\/span>\u201d, otherwise you will not get the correct ordering (alphabetic ordering by the last name of the first author). That is, do not use commas to separate the authors. For example: author = {Donald Knuth and Bill Gates and Edgar Truman}<\/code> or even better author = {Knuth, Donald and Gates, Bill and Truman, Edgar}<\/code>.<\/li>\n
  26. In the titles of the references, the initial letter of each important word must be capitalized (e.g., \u201cExploring a Simulation-based Approach to Teach Networking Fundamentals\u201d).<\/li>\n
  27. In the references, when you have two authors, there is NO comma before the \u201cand\u201d. For example: \u201cDonald Knuth and Bill Gates<\/span>\u201d. However, for three or more authors, you must have a comma before the \u201cand\u201d. For example: \u201cDonald Knuth, Bill Gates, and Edgar Truman<\/span>\u201d.<\/li>\n
  28. In the references, for each conference paper, do not forget the city and country where the conference was held. In your LaTeX file, in the @inproceedings<\/code> item, you can use: address = {the-city, the-country}<\/code>. If you do not have this information, search it on the web that you will find it.<\/li>\n
  29. The whole manuscript should use only two types of fonts: \u201cLinux Biolinum\u201d and \u201cLinux Libertine\u201d. Use Linux Biolinum only for the title of the paper, and Linux Libertine for the rest of the paper. If you need the TTF (True Type Font) files, you can download them from here<\/a>. In some Linux variants (Debian, Ubuntu, etc), you can install these fonts with the following command:
